SHAPE, 2021, Print surface variable

How minimal can a shape or groups of shapes be, and still suggest a narrative. I  pursue shape attributes not only as contributors to visual properties of weight, density, or action, but also as protagonists provoking a response from myself or someone else. I call them shape drawings, but they could be considered  digital collages. The most recent drawings overlap both the  BEAST and  PANDEMIC series. Walking down by the bay, especially during the Pandemic, I have found one photographic discovery after another, each calling out to be made into art.
